Carbon can be in three different forms such as solid,                  gas, and liquid. According to scientists, carbon can be in every life form on the planet. This element is a very important element without it we’d be dead right now. This kind of element is the key ingredient to every life form. This can be a gas called Co2. Carbon can change into different forms. I know that carbon is used to make coral and shellfish, then it gets turned into limestone. For a fact, carbon gets locked up for millions of years. It’s one of the 188 elements.Humus(decaying leaves)has 70% carbon in them.

Well you may
 ask what is carbon dioxide(Co2)?Co2 is a gas that has no color and is formed by burning fuels. Plants absorb Co2 by photosynthesis.Co2 is very important to our atmosphere. It traps heat like a blanket wrapped around our planet. If we don't have Co2 Our planet will be colder than the south pole. Without Co2 we would be dead by now.

Co2 may sound like it's very useful but it's not useful if there's too much carbon in our atmosphere.Co2 is released into the atmosphere if we cut down more trees. The earth has Humans affect the weather and the earth's temperature by burning fossil fuels, cutting down forests, and industrial revolution. This makes big groups of greenhouse gases to those in the atmosphere, making the greenhouse effect bigger and causing global warming.

But it's not too late. We all have time to prevent global warming.There are many ways to put a stop to global warming. We still have ways to stop carbon for example planting trees, switching to clean energy, and eating less red meat. Although we still need carbon to live.If we continue to do these things global warming will start ending. So I encourage you to make your home more energy-efficient.
